What is handpoke tattooing?
A handpoke tattoo is machine and electric free, working the needle dot-by-dot into the skin. It is much gentler and less traumatic on the skin therefore heals a lot faster. A lot of people find it much less painful compared to the machine, and sometimes even therapeutic.
On areas such as fingers it’s ideal as it’s less likely to bleed (when the ink spreads over time) and more likely to hold better and for longer.
How do I book in?
Please fill out the booking form (below) and fill in as much detail as possible.
You can choose from available flash designs that you can find on Instagram highlighted stories. These are only ever tattooed once. I am always happy to work on custom designs too as long as they fit with my style.
Custom designs are only made after a deposit has been paid, and they are shown on the day.
If you don’t receive a response withing a week please send all the info (idea, size, placement and location) to firstname.lastname@example.org
What happens on the day?
Please bring photo ID, wear a mask and suitable clothing, and make sure you have a good breakfast or lunch beforehand.
Both studio’s are private and therefore cannot accommodate walk-ins. Plus ones are not allowed, you must come alone to your appointment.
We will have plenty of time to go over the design, size and placement together and make any changes if needed.
The remaining balance is paid in cash only on the day.
If you or anyone you know has been feeling unwell or had any symptoms please re-arrange.
How does the deposit work?
Deposit details will be given when booking in.
By paying a deposit you are commiting to the appointment, design and quote given. Deposits are non-refundable and they are taken off the final price of the tattoo.
If you can no longer make an appointment, at least three days notice is required. Please call the studio if you are running more than 15 minutes late. If you are more than 30 minutes late the appointment will have to be rescheduled as it affects the rest of the day.
If this notice hasn’t been given the deposit will be lost. The deposit helps to cover loss of earnings for the day, as I will have booked out the time for you, set-up materials and rent.
How much will it cost?
Prices start from £100 and quotes are given per piece depending on the size, the area to be tattooed, and the final design. If you would like several pieces done at once, or larger scale works, it will be charged at £100 an hour.
How are we helping the environment?
For every booking made, six trees will be planted. Keep an eye on Instagram stories for updates on how far we’re coming along.
All supplies used are vegan and, where possible, biodegradable.
You can also help by (carefully!) shaving the area to be tattooed in the morning, to save disposing of a razor.
How do I find the Leeds studio?
You can find the full address at the bottom of the page.
When you arrive to Castleton Close (Industrial estate) there are some grey gates to the right. There’s an intercom at the gate, just buzz us and we will let you in then meet you at reception.
We don’t have parking at the studio but you can park on the main road, Armley road or Castleton Road.
It’s around 20 minutes walking from the station, or around 5 minutes in a taxi.
